A long, long time ago, animals and plants of many types were dying off; Becoming extinct. One of those was the species called the wolf. Humans were not only killing them off by pollution in the air and water, but also with their weekly hunts. The wolves were near extinction with only forty of them left, and it was time for another Human hunt. The wolves abandoned their dens, running from the monstrous Humans. Many were killed, but the last surviving twenty made it to a beach. The wolves had given up hope of escape as they saw no possible way to continue on, but one wolf still hadn't given in. The young wolf, barely two years of age, walked into the deeper part of the salty sea-water. He ran back and forth, until he felt a ledge underneath the surface. He walked onto it and noticed that it went from land out into the blue, and it was shallow water, where around it was much deeper.
The other wolves were curious as to why the younger wolf was standing while they had just seen him swimming it was so deep. The young one called to them that it was a bridge of the earth, and so a few of the others began to walk out onto it. They were startled as they found out that it was indeed a land bridge, and they began to follow the young wolf as it continued on the bridge of earth. They others quickly followed, not wanting to fall behind. Not after half an hour did they find that a large, lush island stood before them. The wolf that was bravely leading the way was joyous and excited, rushing to wards the new land. But it was strange; Just a moment ago not even a blur of the island could be seen. But then, out of nowhere, this wonderful place appeared. The rest of the wolves stayed back with the older wolves and young pups to make sure they were safe and went on okay. But not ten minutes behind them, many prey animals were following across the bridge. Deer, rabbits, birds, mice; Practically everything. But with those also came different kinds of predators such as the mountain lion, bear, coyote, fox almost everything; Also like the prey.
The wolves and other animals finally made it to the shore, but as the last paw laid onto the sandy shore, the bridge of the earth collapsed. The animals, including the wolves, were trapped on the island. But that also meant that they were safe from Humans. The wolves prospered like many of the other animals did, living their lives in the clean, fresh air and water. The wolves reproduced and after only two generations, a dark, grey cloud covered the entire island's sky. The wolves thought of it as a enormous thunderstorm, but it turned out into something entirely different. Lightning struck through the rainless air, targeting only the wolves living all across the island. The wolves all became unconscious, and after the storm, the dark cloud dissipated and showed a beautiful morning. The wolves all slowly woke, and what happened was remarkable. The ones who were noticed to be different was first ones with wings, but soon after more and more mutations came to be discovered. A few were discovered by rage, and others by fright. Some merely dipped into the water and were found to transform partially. But the wolves discovered that these powers didn't harm them; But instead helped them. So the wolves continued to live their lives as if nothing happened, except that now they used their mutations to help them in life.
